Supreme Court notice to LandT on NHAI plea

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to construction firm Larsen and Toubro (LandT) on the basis of free ring tones a special leave petition (SLP) filed by the National Highways Authority of free ring tones India (NHAI). Amid a severe financial crunch coupled with the controversy surrounding SEBI s indictment on its alleged involvement in stock manipulation, Pyramid Saimira Theatre Ltd (PSTL) has identified a strategic partner for its production arm. Housing Development Finance Corp, India’s top mortgage lender, expects the RBI to raise interest rates in the March quarter on inflationary concerns, its chairman said on Wednesday.

“It would be a token, marginal hike. It is just to give a signal that the government and the central bank is concerned about inflationary pressures,” Deepak Parekh said on the sidelines of free ring tones an industry conference.

Tata Steel (TATASTL.BO : 532.6 -2.5), the world’s eighth-largest steel maker, said on Wednesday steel sales from its Indian operations rose 19 per cent in July-September from a year earlier to 1.46 million tonnes.
